Welcome Kenneth Wu's friend Tony Wong to CCWB! NBA Comparison: Tim Duncan with handles and an outside shot (although he was wearing an authentic Scottie Pippen retro jersey). A big who has a good mix of power and finess. Hasn't played for a while, so he was kind of rusty. Once he gets his groove back, he can do some damage. Over-Ray-ted would make him look small though.

7 Sam
9 Anders, Lester
10 Stats Whore
13 Alf, Justin
14 Jeff
25 Emerson, Erick

Highlights
3. Franco turns around and faces the basket straight away from 10 feet, and was about to get rejected...... then he double-pumps a shot that hit nothin but backboard. That was so funny shit lol~
2. Sam's 2 blocks on Tony in game 1 and in game 12 (Justin tells Tony to go home, and Tony waves at him). Welcome to CCWB!
1. Anders with a gorgeous spin move in traffic. Alf goes, "ANNNDDDDERRRSSS... gets a nice pas from Alf." It's way funnier if you were actually there. Everybody laughed~

Stars
3. Anders: Dennis Rodman in the house! Also had 7 points in the last 4 games and held Emerson to zero points when he was guarding him. Next time, guard him from the beginning of the night!
2. Erick: Had 14 points (5 trifectas) in just 3 games (3-5). Stupid Matrix!
1. Emerson (13 points with 4 trifectas during their 5-game winning streak) and Jeff (scored 10 points in the same streak).

Welcome Mark's friends Jason Cheung (Tim Hardaway?) and John Gravengard (Maurice Taylor? Although Ray thinks he plays like Zach Randolph. But Randolph never drives. John can post, shoot and drive)to CCWB!

Highlights
3. Alf missing back-to-back uncontested bank shots right under the hoop in game 7 on the same possession. Very nice~
2. Ray's huge block on Jeff's jump-shot in the last game.
1. Ray's huge block on Lester's runner, also in the last game. For some reason, the rejection on me had a way bigger ovation. And Stats Whore (my teammate) comes over and high fives me and Ray. What are you high fiving me for?! Some guy also did the Mutombo finger-wag at me, like what I did last time. Who was that? You guys are so mean!

Stars so many to choose from
3. Anders (over-Ray-ted: "was playing like a possessed-man grabbing a load of boards and made some contested layups"; also the single game with 5 points!) & Emerson (Mr Double-Dribble) & Gary (his game ain't melo!) & Jeff (played good D on some nasty bigs)
2. Jason (was looking to drive a lot, but since the lane was clogged up most of the time, most FG makes were 10-12 footers) & John (the court's too small for him to operate; unstoppable inside and out) & Sam (over-Ray-ted: "did a lot of dirty work and got people open shots as usual. also battled the bigs")
1. Luis (absolutely on fire!) & Mark (stupid step-back trifectas )

Welcome Erick's friend Kenneth Wu to CCWB!
CCWB Comparison: Zechy. You know what that means... quick off the dribble, heads-up player, can knock down long bombs, etc.

Last week Felix suggested having the first six guys that enter the gym put into one team, the next six on the second, and so on, so that we don't have to wait till the 15th guy to enter the door to get the games going; all we need is 10 or 12. That thought became reality tonight. Obviously if the teams end up to be too lop-sided we wouldn't do it, but I think on paper it was pretty even.

3. Erick's awkward scoop shot charging into traffic from the left side in game 6.
2. In the same game, Alf forced a shot in traffic without banking it. On his way back on D he yells, "yeah bitches!"

(6-4) Alf (2), Emerson, Erick, Mark, Sam Toa, Wayne
(1-7) Franco (3), Brad Miller, Gary, Luis, Ray, Victor Teo

I excluded game 16 from the records because first off Calvin subbed for Franco's team, and also there was a controversy on the last play. Down 6-5, Calvin did an up-and-under trifecta that seemed to me was not a one, but was called so by Alf's team. Mark scored on the very next possession. They score was no doubt 7-6. But who won the game? Let the people decide!

25 or 26 Mark
33 or 34 Calvin

Highlights
4. Ray: "Lester's two layups!! It was the first time Lester did normal layups." You'll see more of that in the tournament if my shots down fall.
3. Lester's massive volleyball spike on Sam from behind, followed by the infamous and copyrighted Mutombo finger-wag to the bench (it would be a technical if I did it towards any individual in the game). Somebody wrote this down on the sheet behind the score sheet. Who's writing was that?!
2. Ray's block on Alex. This one is ranked higher because it was straight-up. It was a pass by Lester that led to the block, Alex didn't see the block coming, but Ray sure did! Sorry man!
1. Calvin's game-winning trifecta in game 9. He shot it while being sandwiched by 2 players, and one! Damn that was nuts!

Stars
I'd have to say everyone had a tough night at the office except for Calvin and Mark.

5 Brad Miller
8 Alf, Franco, Lester
9 Erick, Vince
10 Felix
12 Ray
16 Justin
19 Victor
20 Calvin, Luis
22 Mark

Highlights
7. Ray backing up his ass on Lester everytime he got the ball in the post because he can't take the 'over-RAY-ted' comments from Lester anymore. I think he only got two baskets in the post though, and one was the spinning banker. Personally, I thought it was a travel. Travel!
6. Luis's new shirt. Yes, it's not a Mickey mouse t-shirt! It was a sleeveless. But like the Mickey shirt, it's grey.
5. Alf had a nice steal in game 4, but when Victor got the pass from Alf, he kicked it out of bounds. All that work for nothing Alf!
4. Alf gorgeous pass intended for Luis...... that went straight to the piano! (Located at the mid-way point of the baseline & center-court line. We can't move the piano because it's broken, but it didn't effect play because it didn't go pass the sideline.)
3. Felix's up-and-under reverse...... then up again and under again. He took about 5 steps on that play.
2. Vince (I think after getting an offensive rebound) stands in the middle of the paint about 7 feet away from the basket, was triple-teamed because he was so close to the hoop. He looks at Lester (standing on the right side) and passes to Felix, who was cutting to the hoop on his left and throws an over-the-head no-look pass to Felix. Wow wow wow! thanks Big Country! Or do you prefer over-RAY-ted?!
1. Victor's game-winner in game 8 that was banked in. But his shot was right from the corner of the court, so how the heck did the bank happen? That was so weird.

Stars
3. Mark (Dirk is the perfect name for him, I swear) and Victor (I always say that Victor either shoots 90% or 10%. Guess which side of the spectrum he was on tonight?)
2. Calvin: Didn't shoot as high a percentage as he did compared to last Thursday, but still dominant.
1. Luis: I hate Luis but I gotta give him #1 star. Justin could not have done a better job guarding him when we were playing them. And even with Justin's long arms, Luis just kept nailing shot after shot. I better see all this magic in the tournament. I'm counting on it to get my first ring. Bastard!

Highlights
3. Erick's multiple fast breaks missed dunks.
2. Felix's big block on Sam Lee's 2nd big dunk attempt in the middle, but with the force sam had on it, he still managed to score the winning bucket.
1. Sam Lee's big dunk in the middle... Felix as poster boy #1.

Game 10 S beat R 7-4 Victor (2)
Game 11 L beat S 7-2 Emerson (2)
Game 12 R beat L 7-4 Luis (2)

Up till this point, everyone's record is 4-4.

Game 13 R beat S 7-6 Alf
Game 14 L beat R 7-5 Erick (2)
Game 15 L beat S 7-3 Mark (2)
Game 16 L beat R 7-4 Wayne (2) Sam Toa subbed in since Felix and Luis left early

Highlights
3. In game 8, Felix was about to cross the half-court line with the ball. He sees Alf leaking out towards the hoop, but he fans on the pass. 2 seconds later, he turns the ball over. To cap off the play, Gary scores over Felix and Felix sits on his ass. Was that a charge? Carmeloooooo!!!
2. Down 6-2 in game 9, Sam's team nailed back-to-back trifectas to tie it up, and eventually won the game. Sam Toa actually had half his foot out of bounds on a play when it was still 6-2, but Lester didn't call it because he thought there's no way they can comeback and win. Oh damn, that was costly!
1. Mark's acrobatic shot over Ray I-don't-know-who. As always, I'll try and put it into words: he drives from the right-side of the foul line diagonally towards the lower box, goes up for a shot, and in mid-air changes the shot into a scoop as Ray I-don't-know-who was about to swat the pumpkin. It grazed the rim an goes in. I was on top of that play and was stunned that it went in. Rrrrrraaaaaayyyyyy-ted!

Stars
3. Oliver: Was a silent assassin all night long!
2. Luis: Hitting everything from all over the map, but no best record for you.
1. Mark: On the same day the NBA announces Nowitzki as the MVP of the league, the CCWB version of Dirk out-dueled the Stinkin' Monkey! Luis stinks!

Injuries
Justin unintentionally hit my jaw, but like what Erick did to me, I think I was standing too close to him. Still slightly sore, but nothing serious I think.

Welcome Sam Toa and Ander's friend Mark Chua to CCWB! He made Ray look small, seemed like he was 8-feet tall out there! Plays kinna like Ray too actually. NBA Comparison: Disco Dirk.

Game 11 L beat S 7-2 Mark (2)
Game 12 L beat R 7-6 Felix
Game 13 S beat L 7-4 Anders
Game 14 S beat R 7-2 Sam

Highlights
5. Lester's outlet passes all going into the hands of the other team all night long, and he kept on doing them! What was he thinking?
4. When we were picking teams, Sam picked up Alf and Erick with his first picks and he says, "Ah, I'm all set!" And he was right, just look at his team's record. Bastard!
3. After Felix scored 4 straight points (I think all of them were lay-ups too) to start game 11, Sam wondered who in the world was guarding him? It was Alf! Sam was not a happy camper and he let Alf know all about it when they were sitting out. You should know by now Sam, Alf doesn't play D! And even if he decides to play D, he can't guard Kaman anyway!
2. Felix's GW in game 12 that first bounce off the top of the backboard, then went in. Not his traditional bank shot, but we'll take it!
1. On one play in game 10, Sam penetrates into the lane and draws a double-team an kicks it out to a wide-open Alf from 12 feet away. He fakes the shot (to nobody in particular), then sees the open lane and decides to drive it in...... only to hit nothing but backboard. Good going Alf! Get some rim next time!

Stars
3. Alf (I'm still laughing about that play!) and Sam (he's like the Energizer Bunny, just keeps going and going and going......)
2. Felix: I can't imagine what our record would've been if it wasn't for his offensive prowess this evening. I don't need to say anything about his D, which is always there.
1. Erick: Lucky I didn't have to guard him, but even Justin had a tough time checking him. You can also thank Alf's usual moving picks setting him free too! Oh yeah, he hit 3 loooooong trifectas (so far only Emerson or Luis would attempt them), and 2 were back-to-back GWs.

Injuries
Justin: Justin got hit by Kevin Huynh in the warm-up game and his right lip (and/or teeth too?) was bleeding and later on it was bruised. Also, in game 13, he had to sub off, because (in his own words)... "i sprained my ankle running up court. (My foot bent inwards wen i stepped down) I don't get injuries very often but why does it have happen like that?!! That's what i get for not playing ball for over a week. And maybe i should start stretching like a lot of you old timers do. Cuz i'm getting pretty high up there in mileage as well. Hopefully i can get back by next week."

Highlights
7. Lester making only 2 shots the entire night (no more, no less), had about 20-25 attempts overall?! (Yeah, this is the only way I can get into the highlights.) Sam Toa: "Come on Lester, you kill Alf and I when you play against us." Sorry man, I just didn't have the juice last night for some reason, I think I wasted your pick.
6. Thunder's travel (which he denies) on game 8's GW. He receives the pass at the right elbow and took 3 mini-steps before releasing the uncontested shot. Everyone at the bench saw it, but Felix says it still counts because nobody on his team saw it. Thunder later tells Lester to keep his eyes on his good-looking face and not his feet.
5. Victor Teo's big-ass block on Thunder in the warm-up game. Thunder got rejected big-time in game 2 too, but forgot who did it. If you know who it was, let me know! by who else but over-RAY-ted!!!
4. Felix's up-and-under reverse banker in a hard-fought game 6 to break out of a 6-6 tie, and the crowd goes wild! Kaman for President!
3. Thunder's rejection/foul on Luis on a fast-break. The ball rolls out the door and Thunder does his usual Kenyon Martin impression (i.e. the self jersey-pull). Alf says: "Yeah Thunder, all arm!" Also in the same game Thunder was really aggressive on Luis. And on one play, he was hit in the head. I don't know whether he hit himself or he got hit by Luis. Alf might know because he was laughing really really hard afterwards.
2. Alf's acrobatic over-the-head GW in traffic in game 12 for his 4th straight GW of the night.
1. The last play in the last game: Clayton heads up-court full steam and already back on D was Franco. He plants himself in the key trying to take the charge. Clayton jumps, and either his arm or the ball hits Franco's face (there was blood!), avoids body contact by flying towards the left side, then scoops the ball off glass for a ridiculous finish. Lester was trailing on the play and all he could do is trip up Clayton after the shot went in. Franco claimed that it was a charge, but Clayton did avoid the contact. Although Shaq was bleeding, it actually wasn't as bad as it seemed. It's ok TT, we got best record lol.

Stars
3. Clayton (Taking people to school with ease!) and Delonte (Man, he was money tonight~)
2. Sam: Madly ran up-court every single freakin time as soon as his team got the defensive rebound, putting a lot of pressure for the opposing team. Thank god I didn't have to guard you, I would've gotten a heart-attack doing so.
1. Alf: The only thing on Alf's mind was to score tonight, which doesn't happen too often unless he's playing in the tournament. The only reason his team lost the last game and could only mustard one point was because he sat the game out. No doubt he's the first star~

played with subs...
Game 12 J beat S 7-2 Emerson
Game 13 J beat L 7-4 Alf
Game 14 J beat S 7-3 Emerson (2)

Highlights
5. Nobody picked up the check-ball and it rolled all the way to the other side of the court. Thunder runs to get it and hits a trifecta in street clothes. Felix says: "You should sign up next time (since Thunder was sitting there the whole night in hopes of subbing in for someone)."
4. Lester got rejected from behind by Ray after driving past him.
3. Ray got schooled by Delonte coming from the left side and reversing a lay-up on the right side. Alf: "Where was Ray?" On the very next possession, Ray fires a trifecta that hit nothing but backboard. More evidence he is over-RAY-ted.
2. Erick drives in the middle of the lane, puts his right hand up for a seeming lay-up, but then twisted his body half way and flicked the ball over his head over Lester. Matrix pulled a Kobe on me, bastard. Alf: "Lester is all over the highlights." Almost, if it wasn't for Ray's awesome sequence from above.
1. From Stats Whore... I was humming a song, "dun dun... dunnn dunnn... duunnnn duunnn" and Luis pops a three over me to shut me up. The crowd (Alf and Sam) starts mocking me and chants my song... to which I respond by sticking a GW 3 of my own. Actually, that was your only GW of the night lol, but it couldn't have happened at a better time.

Stars
3. Delonte (aggressive as usual) and Felix (that game-winning trifecta plus the foul in the game 2 7-6 win was a big momentum shifter, Lester's team never recovered from it).
2. Justin (didn't have to do much, just knocked down open shots as the opposing defences collapsed inside) and Erick (toyed with Lester inside and outside).
1. Stats Whore: Only one GW but made lots of tough hoops, a big reason for the best record.

Injuries
Erick: left side of the head in a collision with Lester.
Lester: big bruise on right eyebrow.
Stats Whore: rolled left ankle.

Hope we are all ready to roll next week. Get well.

Game 10 J beat S 7-5 Erick (2)
Game 11 L beat J 7-? Lester
Game 12 S beat L 7-4 Justin
Game 13 S beat J 7-4 Justin

Highlights
4. Lester's huge block on Justin. Sam was bringing up the ball on a 2-on-1 fast break with Justin. Lester played the ball and then Sam passed it to Justin for a lay-up attempt. One of Lester's teammates sealed off Sam so that the ball couldn't be passed back to him, and Lester can focus all on the ball now. I think that's my first block on you Justin! And when our careers are over it'll probably be the only one lol.
3. Up 6-5 in game 9, Lester misses a shot from the foul line area. Erick immediately runs the ball up the court and sinks a trifecta over Joe, with Stats Whore yelling, "Watch the 2!"
2. Justin goes for a lay-up, got hacked really hard. So hard that you can actually see his body tilt about 40 degrees, but he still made the shot. Damn!!!
1. We have a new nickname! Sam put down "K-Fed" instead of "Kevin Wong" when we were drafting lol.

Stars
3. Hans: Made a lot of baskets and shot a good percentage as usual.
2. Erick: Lots of offensive rebounds and made 3 trifectas as game-winners in his team's 4 wins. Can you say clutch?
1. Justin and Sam Toa: Duh! Thanks Joe for the help D on Sam's blow-bys. Stupid Sam!

Injuries
Erick and Lester: ankle
In game 11, their ankles got tangled up on a loose ball with both guys looking at opposite directions. Erick got the worst of it as he needed to sub off right away and his night was done.

Highlights
3. Thunder had 3 trifectas in game 10, including the game-winner. Did he also get that single point too?
2. Alf's huge rejection on Joe on the help D. That might've been a foul, but I couldn't really see. Or as Felix like to say, "All ball?"
1. Stats Whore: "Hey Joe, I'll see you at the finals in the fantasy." What kind of fantasy exactly? How come I wasn't invited?

Terrific Trios
