December 26

Welcome Pearce's friend Yath to CCWB!

(7-3) Ray (1), Felix, Justin, Kwan, Pearce, Zechy
(5-4) Thunder (2), Evan, Kevin, Mark, Paul, Victor, Yath
(1-6) Alf (3), Alvin, Emerson, King, Lester, Michael

Longest Winning Streak
First 6 games by Ray's team

Highlights
3. The one-on-one battles between Shawn Bradley and Yao Ming.
2. Ray's block party.
1. Down 6-5 in the last game, Pearce's straight-away trifecta denied Alf's team for their second win of the night.

Stars
3. Kevin Yoga
2. Ray BC
1. Justin Arms

December 19
Cancelled due to church events.

December 12

Longest Winning Streak
4 by Thunder's team from games 8-11

New CCWB Record
4 (or was it 5?) banked trifectas by Thunder
2 were game-winners!

(7-3) Thunder (2), Erick, Justin Tser, Patrick Chan, Vince
(3-4) Alf (3), Emerson, Gary, Kevin, Patrick Lo (from DT; he says he recognizes Alf & Vince), Zechy
(2-5) Lester (1), Alvin, Charles, Pong, Victor, Wayne

Highlights
3. Kevin's full-court alley-oop to Alf, with Alf rejecting somebody on the following defensive possession.
2. Kevin's fake bank shot from underneath the left side of the basket. He put up both his hands, but in actual fact the ball was passed to his left towards Emerson for the real bank shot. When getting back on D his shouts, "Yes!"
1. Down 5-3 in game 10, Thunder nailed back-to-back trifectas to bail his team out.

Stars
3. Vince: Battier was awesome except for that 2-on-1 turnover near the end of the night, after which he looked to the heavens above and said to himself, "Why did I do that?"... and a few missed lay-ups. But hey, happens to me all the time
2. Erick: stupid Matrix running all over the floor as usual, making crazy lay-ups, and making quite a few deep trifectas, much like the next star...
1. Thunder: as Alf and Jeff would say in Chinese, "lay sik jor c ah?" He probably shot 70%+ from the land beyond and made a few lay-ups, with one that he was going full-steam and out of control, and the foul! After seeing that drop, I knew it was his night!

Remember this? "My name is Dan. They call me Thunder."

Justin, I don't know if there will be any winter breaks. Felix and Alf don't think so, but I'm sure Felix will notify us by e-mail if that's the case.

Stats Whore, what in the world are Alf and I doing on your top 6 list? Ruined the whole list lol

Stats Whore, are you still injured? Actually Kevin won't be playing for a while cuz he'll be coaching. And since Luis and you don't show up anymore, Justin has been tearing it up almost every night. Don't worry, nobody took away your spot as one of the top 4 players at CCWB lol.

Welcome newbies Pong Tang, Sherman Kan and their buddies Alvin So and Charles Cheng. I know Randy (David Poon's friend) played last Thursday, but it's the first time I saw him tonight.

Hey Franco, where were you?! Kevin & Pearce ended up taking your spot though. I returned your call and we only talked about the availability for Barrett and your other friend, didn't tell you that you were in. My bad . By the way, Jayrome dropped by! He signed up for the coming Thursday, hope he won't drop.

Before Alf's arrival, we shot free throws to decide the teams, they were:

(5-0) Justin, Michael, Simon, Victor, Zechy
(1-3) Charles, David, Lester, Pong, Sam
(0-3) Emerson, Patrick Chee, Randy, Sherman, Wayne

We had captains afterwards...

(6-1) Justin (1), Alvin, Kevin, Patrick Chee, Sam, Victor, Wayne
Justin had 3 of the 6 game-winners, all were trifectas
(1-3) Pearce (2), Charles, Michael, Pong, Randy, Simon
(1-4) Alf (3), David, Emerson, Lester, Sherman, Zechy

It was pretty much over with Justin and Kevin on the same team. Alvin wasn't really trying, but he's very similar to Kevin in terms of his body, size and mobility.

Highlights
3. Kevin's rejection on Lester's baseline jumper in the second-last game. Afterwards, he told me "you just made 3 on me (in the same game), I'm not giving you a 4th straight one."
2. Charles' basket while shooting from his knees. It was a crazy shot y'all.
1. Simon's attempt to reject Wayne's lay-up. The basket was good, but they came down hard. Wayne's head hit the boards under the stage and his knee hit the ground hard, then Simon came down on him on a knee on knee. Both of them were laying on the ground for several minutes. Simon could only walk on one leg afterwards, Wayne was dizzy and his eyes were swelling up he says, after he got home.
Jason, it's a highlight because the basket was actually good, but in the process took 2 guys out

Stars
3. Charles: 110% effort, made a lot of good things happen
2. Simon: had tough assignment guarding Kevin but played well
1. Justin & Kevin & Victor: complete dominance

Injuries
Simon: torn meniscus cartilage
Wayne: knee

BC, I'm talkin about today (Thursday). I know you didn't play Tuesday, so I was saying you can put yourself on the YES list for Thursday. But I don't think it matters, cuz it doesn't look like we'll have 18+

6 of the first 8 games were 7-6, the other 2 were 7-4.

Welcome Josh's friend Patrick Chee
I got a scouting report already lol, he plays and shoots like Delonte West. I think he'll match up well with Stats Whore and Zechy.

(9-3) Kevin (2), Mike, Simon, Wayne
(4-6) Justin (3), Josh, Lester, Patrick Chee
(2-6) Franco (1), Emerson, Felix, Gary, Pearce

Highlights
3. Ever tried bowling with 2 hands? Simon used that exact motion for one of his reverse lay-ups tonight. Looked like he was carrying a baby when he had the ball down low.
2. Down 6-5 in game 5, Simon stripped the ball from Josh and Kevin ended up with a trifecta to win the game. That one hurt really bad
1. Kevin going for a defensive rebound. He was all by himself under the basket, somehow the ball squirted out of his hands, hit his head, then his back, and went out of bounds. Nobody was anywhere near him, we had no idea how that happened!

Top Duos
3. Felix (dude... you trained with the Chinese National in China? What's happening here?) & LIMS! I mean Emerson
2. Josh & Justin
1. Kevin & Simon: too much, too much...

Whore, I saw that. It was for some school. Recognized him instantly! One more guy you can get a room with!

Ray = "BC"... as in Big Country! We thank Thunder for the initials! If you pull the rim down, then we're screwed

I was too lazy to record any stats tonight (sorry Stats Whore ). But the only stat you really need to know is that if you were on my team at any point tonight, you didn't win that game (we mixed up the teams from time to time)... cuz I didn't win one game tonight .

There were only 11 players tonight:
Alf, Emerson, Gary, Josh, Justin, Lester, Ray, Thunder, Victor, Wayne, Zechy

Highlights
4. Ray's dunk attempt. Even though he scored I wouldn't really consider that a dunk. Hey Felix, I think we should kick Ray out! He pulled the rim!
3. Lester's rejection on Victor. I've been trying to block that running lefty layup for so long cuz I see it coming all the time. I finally got the right timing this time, considering it was probably my 1000th attempt. I gotta say it felt pretty good, I smashed it quite hard lol. All ball
2. Alf's sweet spin move for a layup off glass. Ray saw it all the way and was rotating on help defence, but Alf scored anyway. I thought Alf was gonna dunk it cuz his fingertips were parallel to the rim. I think Ray might've gotten a piece of the ball as well. I didn't know Alf got hops.
1. Gary powering over Ray for a bucket. Carmelloooooo!!!

Stars
3. Alf & Josh (the new Alf... and better than Alf of course)
2. Victor
1. Justin

Stats Whore's night was finished when him and Simon were chasing down a loose ball at centre court in game 3. Stats Whore was trying to steal the ball from Simon from behind, and Simon's elbow hit Stats Whore in the nose For the record, he was 2-0 before his departure. Ironically, Simon hit a trifecta to win 7-6 in that game.

Welcome 3 newbies tonight... Justin's brother Josh and King's friends Hao Chen and Mark Lee. Also Alex's friend Shao Min Yap (aka Shoecarter), who hasn't played for a while.

(6-4) Stats Whore (1), Hao, Jeff, Justin, Shao, Victor, King (sent from Lester's team to Stats Whore's after he went down)
(4-5) Alf (2), Emerson, Erick, Franco, Mark, Ray
(4-5) Lester (3), Alex, Josh, Simon, Thunder, Wayne

Longest Winning Streak: 4
Games 4-7 by Alf's team and games 9-12 by Stats Whore team.

Highlights
3. Alf's missed lay-up after breaking down the defence.
2. Alf's full-court off-the-backboard alley-oop attempt for Erick.
Note the word attempt.
1. Erick's bounce pass between Lester's legs for an Alf a Franco lay-up, thanks for the correction Shaq

Stars
3. Alf: stinks like Luis
2. Victor: still hasn't cooled off from last week yet
1. Justin: without Stats Whore, he had to carry the team on his shoulders

Injuries
Stats Whore, nose

I second everything Justin mentioned. So where's the secret training at Franco? For sure I need to attend. I can't hit point-blank shots and lay-ups. If I did we would've been wayyyyyy better than 5-4 . I'll practice my 3s later on, need to get back to doing more triceps. But heck, but release is too slow anyway

Yeah Stats Whore, I love saying Teeeeee Teeeeee & Carmelo... they are the shiiiiiit! And of course RRRRRRAAAAAAYYYYYY

Franco, get Jayrome and especially Junius back to CCWB. I miss their asses!

Nice and Tight... no, I'm not referring to the Lau's fashion sense, but rather the records tonight. Remember way back when there was a post with the topic "The Best Night of Ball at CCWB" or something to that nature (it's no longer here so don't even look for it)? It had the same records as tonight's...

(5-4) Lester (3), Jeff, Justin, Stats Whore, Wayne
(4-4) Franco (2), Emerson, Kevin, Simon, Victor
(4-5) Alf (1), Gary, Luis, Vince, Zechy

P.S. Stats Whore insisted we take a picture since we had the best record. What a guy! But every game was like a war tonight though. Every game was like Game 7 of the Finals.

Highlights
3. Down 6-5 in game 6, Alf's team was relentlessly jacking up them trifectas for the win. There must've been at least 20 attempts, and half by Luis of course. In the end they lost
2. Simon runs to the other side of the baseline & jumps 180 degrees to receive a pass in game 3. After he secured the ball in mid-air, he completed the other half of the 180 & banked it home. Now that's hangtime.(Let me know if it wasn't Simon lol, I didn't get the name of the person down)
1. In game 12, Alf got an offensive rebound and was immediately double-teamed. With Luis wide-open, he zips a pass... right into his face and it goes out of bounds... hey Luis, IN YO FACE!!! The positive out of this? Alf's team beat Lester's 7-5.

Stars
3. Victor (was hitting all the longballs , somebody get up on him!) & Wayne (we all know him as Coach, and he still got game after coming back from his "suspension")
2. Alf & Luis: these 2 lovebirds were too busy staring at Lester, that's why their games were a little off, just a little... keep your eyes on each other cuz I'm taken... by Wayne
1. Stats Whore: got 3 game-winners with 2 being trifectas out of our 5 wins and kept playing while being cramped up, I might call you Wade instead of Stats Whore again... the key is might

October 31

... fewest people... 9!!!

For the first 2 hours we played 3-on-3, the teams were...

Franco + Kevin + Ray
David + Justin + Lester
Simon + Vince + Victor

later it was...

Franco + Kevin + Ray
David + Justin + Simon
Lester + Vince + Victor

There weren't any captains, the teams were decided by free throws. Size-wise, it was a joke as you can see; but record-wise, it was actually pretty even. Felix showed up at 9PM & finally at that time we can play some full-court 5-on-5. We played 2 games up to 21...

Game 1
Felix + Justin + Kevin + Lester + Simon beat
David + Franco + Ray + Vince + Victor 21-18

Game 2
David + Justin + Kevin + Vince + Victor beat
Felix + Franco + Lester + Ray + Simon 21-17

Highlights
3. Franco's trifecta that was tipped by Justin but went in anyway.
2. Kevin's drive to the basket. In the process the ball was stripped & deflected, but somehow it never touched the ground & he shot it from his ankle & went in. Now that's yoga ball!
1. Team Lester + Vince + Victor was up 6-0 in one game. It wasn't until the score was 6-6 that they decided to score the final basket

Stars
I don't know. For now though,...

Ray Lewis! Yeah I know who he is. I haven't seen any Ravens game in a long-ass time, totally forgot his name. Yeah that guy is awesome. He had a commercial with Iverson & Mia Hamm & others for Reebok 2 years ago too or something. Speaking of football, I love Randy Moss, I even have his Vikings jersey! But the Raiders suck . How bout the Chicago Bears? Goin all the way, baby!!! You're like Wayne Jong on the sidelines... coach #2! But not on the court

No Vince lol. Just seems to me you guys admire each other so much & you guys can't get enough of each other hahahaha. Don't worry, you'll see Stats Whore tonight. That's obviously the wrong rating cuz Stats Whore should be rated higher than me. Him, Justin, Kevin & Luis are in a league of their own. I'm at the same level as Ray... i.e. overrated. Right Ray? RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY

Vince & Stats Whore... quit the mumbo jumbo. I know you guys love each other, get a room already jeez

Stats Whore... airball specialist hahaha. I was laughing out loud when I was that. For me percentage-wise was brutal. And the bank is closed for me tonight. Closed all night long, & I was still goin to it. Errr I did surprise Emereson with a trey in his face tho

Welcome Franco's friends Dave & Mike

(7-4) Lester (3), David Poon, Justin, Mike, Stats Whore
(5-5) Alf (2), Alex, Emerson, Luis
(3-6) Thunder (1), Franco, Ray, Victor, Vince

Hot early...
Alf's team was 4-1 after the first 6 games & Lester's team was 0-3, losing 7-6 in the first 2 games. Needless to say Stats Whore wanted to kill somebody

Hot late...
Lester's team was 7-1 in the last 9 games, going on 4- & 3-game winning streaks in that span. Alf's team went 1-4.

Highlights
Game-Winning Trifectas Galore...
3. 1 by Franco
2. 2 by Stats Whore
1. 3 by Justin

Stars
3. Franco: Daddy's in da house... & brought the house down! Actually he brought Alex down, who tried to stop him on a fast break. Since Alex was moving, none of us could really call a charge on that play lol
2. Alf: If you can guard Alf, give me a call. I'll pick you next time.
1. Justin & Stats Whore: What else is new, eh?

Believe it or not, Luis was a none factor. He sucked as much as Lester tonight, which is saying something. I couldn't hit a parked car in a parking lot tonight, darn it

(8-4)Thunder (1), Franco, Justin, Kevin, Luis, Victor
(4-5) Patrick (3), Emerson, Jason, Simon, Vince, Zechy
(3-6) Alex, Alf, Erick, Gary, Jayrome, Lester

Longest Winning Streak
3 straight for Thunder's team twice from games 7-9 & 11-14.

Highlights
3. Alf's gay laugh. Yeah Thunder you heard it too. That was so wrong. WTF eh?
2. Simon's big block on Luis in game 14. & Luis stinks.
1. The collapse of Wall Franco. Whoever had a better view than I did wanna elaborate on that?

Stars
Justin, Kevin & Luis on the same team? (Not fair!) & they were 8-4 only?

Hey Justin, sorry I didn't call you cuz I text everyone on the wait list instead of calling each & everyone of you. But I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out there's room since there were only SIX people on the YES list lol.

Yes Franco, thanks for reminding me... I forgot a line from Felix. He said if we used the NBA foul system (6 fouls max), you would've been fouled out 3 times last nite! hahahaha

From what Felix, Vince & Thunder told me...

horrible nite for everyone... no one could shoot tonite except for thunder... everyone turned the ball over... we had 16 players, but 2 left early... alf went to study & jason said he was hungry...

(5-2) Ray, Luis, Zechy, Jayrome, Franco (hey Stats Whore, say the first 2 words in this line outloud lol... Ray Luis! =p)
(4-4) Justin, Victor, Erick, Jason, Alf
(2-5) Felix, Vince, Kevin, Simon, Cliff (only 2 wins for yoga ball? r u kidding me?)

Highlights
3. Jayrome pushing his own teammate franco aside so that he could pad his rebound stats. We thank Jayrome himself for sharing this one
2. Thunder jacked 2 treys in a row both times over Ray...... RRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY
1. There was a game that was 30 minutes long with Felix's team losing 7-6. That's not a typo, that's a 30!

for those who were there, fill us in

October 3

Hey Vince, bring your gf to bball night? Damn, I got nobody to bring; no gf dude. You know any single hotties?

Welcome Ryton to CCWB!

No worries about the donations Jason. Remember what the evite says: "NO PRESSURE" lol.

And for the record Vince, here is your favourite stat line:
4 ladies (belonging to Alex, Emerson, Jayrome & Ryton)
Gotcha!

(6-3) Kevin (2), Cliff, Herbert, Jason, Simon, Vince
(3-4) Ray (3), Alf, Alex, Felix, Justin, Norton, Ryton (Lester's friend)
(3-5) Jay (1), Emerson, Franco, Lester, Thunder, Zechy

Longest Winning Streak
5 straight by Kevin's team from games 3-7

Highlights
3. Alf sets a screen on Jayrome for Justin's game-winning trey in the last game (12) for a 7-6 win. The moronic thing is Lester saw Alf talking to Justin before the play but didn't inform Jayrome. Stupid Lester.
2. Kevin's schooling on Lester all night long.
1. Down 6-3 in game 11, Jayrome nails back-to-back treys for a dramatic come-from-behind win.

Stars
3. Jason (nailing them jumpers Joe Johnson-style!) & Zechy (was relentless on both ends; made numerous tough lay-ups in traffic & clutch treys)
2. Simon: another monster night for this Energizer Bunny... he just keeps going & going...
1. Kevin: played typical Kevin ball; had 3 game-winners in his 6 wins, 2 were treys

Welcome back Kevin from thumb injury.

Hey King, Thunder said you lost your phone so I couldn't get a hold of you, I didn't find out till after 7 when we were at the gym. I can't believe your boyfriend doesn't have your home phone number! & sorry Zechy there was actualy room but I didn't call you because... 1) Norton told Felix in the morning that he couldn't come but Felix didn't tell me until 5:22PM 2) wasn't sure if King was coming because I was still waiting for his reply 3) Herbert text me at 7:49PM & said he can't make it... sorry Z

(6-4) Vince (3), Alf, Gary, Felix, Justin Wu, Simon
(4-3) Jason (1), Alex, Erick, Ray, Victor Teo
(2-5) Thunder (2), Cliff, Franco, Kevin, Lester (sucks), Herbert (no show)

Longest Winning Streak
4 by Vince's team from games 4-7

Highlights
3. Kevin's block with backboard-smack on Justin, but...
2. Justin got the last laugh because in the same game, he nailed a rainbow over Kevin for a 7-5 win.
1. Ray's outlet pass in game 9 that hit his own teammate Erick's head. I didn't think it was that funny but everybody started cracking up. Have to put it up here because it was requested by several ballers. But heck, they won the game 7-5.

Stars
3. Felix: Chris Kaman didn't take many shots but when he did, good things happened. As usual was an anchor on D & was Mr Hustle; 2 game-winners with one being a trey.
2. Simon & Vince: wow, what a surprise eh? these guys are regulars on this list
1. Justin: was looking to run on every play after he got the rebound; on fire from outside as well; 2 game-winners

Welcome first-timer Ian & welcome back Alan & Paul Leong. At one of the intermissions, Paul told me his job was to stop streaks tonight, & he did just that by stopping Jason's 3-game winning streak. He actually had TWO 3-game winning streaks after that for games 7-9 & 12-14 (scored game-winners for games 7 & 8). Also good to see Zechy & Mr Native (thanks Wade, I totally forgot about Amare lol) drop by, hopefully they can play next week.

Vince, it's ok to have a WTF-reaction with Cliff because of the stuff he's smoking. And it seems like you're always there for all the significant CCWB moments whether you are in the games or on the sidelines. Good stuff!

We'll go for 13-0 in a month, Wade. I'll be waiting
Damn it man, I'm gonna kill you for that comment!

3-0 Franco, that's good stuff. But you need to stop mackin at the young girls

Thanks Vince. Only a guy like you (& actually me) would notice that lol. There were 3 to be exact (Alex's, Ian's & Wade's).

Lix, you lost first 3 (instead of 4) to begin the night.

(6-4) Thunder (3), Clement, Felix, Luis, Paul Leong, Victor Teo
(5-5) Jason (2), Cliff, Erick, Jeff, Ray, Vince
(3-5) Lester (1), Alan, Alex, Ian, Ivan, Tser, Wade (The first overall pick goes down after yet another thumb injury after playing 2 games. I swear to all of you we were going to be 13-0, hahahahaha)

Highlights
3. With 6 points in hand, Paul was going for a game-winning 5-foot jumper. Out of nowhere someone says "foul him." Cliff was the first to react & actually runs towards Paul & pushed his right hip. That's a flagrant. Paul's team ended up winning the game anyway. The moral of the story is: cheaters won't win.
2. Alan's up-&-under-&-up-again move from about 8 feet away from the basket. Can't remember who's a$$ he schooled but it was Jordan-esque to say the least.
1. Luis's block on Cliff. As you might know already, Cliff likes to square himself up to the basket & do his mini-pump with the ball before each of his shots. Apparently he had less time than he thought & before his shot was released, it was brought down hard by Luis. Man, that was sweeeeeeeeeeeet, I think everybody who was there saw & heard it.

Stars selected by Chris Kaman, words by Kobe
3. Luis: Mickey Mouse was way off in his early games but picked up his game as the night went on. Was more of a defensive factor than an offensive threat tonight, but as usual still made clutch baskets.
2. Vince: According to Thunder he was "just there" for the championship he won in the 3rd tournament. He's proving he's a piece not to be left out. The guy that was "just there" is actually Ray, hahahahahahahahaha... just kidding Ray
1. Alan: Did all he could on the offensive end but somehow our D was pretty weak as someone on the opposing team was always wide-open for uncontested shots. I got a warning already, so I didn't scream at anyone... at one point all I said was "who's got who," and that's that.

Paul's just jealous hahahaha. We need you back so we can get 13 wins in one night, that's our next goal. My Kobe pic on MSN is awesome, what are you talking about?! You should get yourself a Yao pic instead of that Rock Lee pic. You scored 7 points in one game? Was that part of your wet dream? Were there any witnesses?!

Franco... Jason, Vince & I will take it any way we can after going 1-8 in the previous outing

Vince, the best example was I think one of the last games last night. I had a wide-open shot & as I was about to shoot I saw Jason under the basket. But he wasn't as wide-open as I think he was & stupid Ray stole the ball. Luckily we didn't lose that game. Yeah I'll hog the ball more. So next time when you guys pass it to me get ready to crash the boards because I won't pass it back wahahahaha.

Wade, I think everybody subbed for us except for King, Nathan & Victor. Correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't do anything nor was I mad lol, we were just riding on Kevin's hot streak wahahahaha. I'm Luc Longley, part of the (winning) team... I was there! (That's how Thunder was referring to Vince in regards to the 3rd CCWB tournie lol)

(9-1) Lester (1), Jason, Kevin, Vince
(2-4) Alf (3), Franco, King, Nathan, Simon
(0-6) Thunder (2), Herbert, Justin, Ray, Victor

Breakdown of New Records by Lester's team
Best Record: 9-1 (90% winning percentage)
Most Consecutive Wins: 8 (games 4 till the last one)
Fewest Losses: 1

Breakdown of New Records by Thunder's team
Worst Record: 0-6
Fewest Wins: 0

Highlights
5. Simon sinks a trey at the midway point of the half-court & 3-point lines for a 7-6 win in game 3.
4. Kevin's spike on Justin's lay-up attempt in game 5.
3. In the very last play of the last game, Kevin penetrates & was stuck about 5 feet away from the basket. With nowhere to go, he finds Alf underneath the hoop. Right after the pass though, Kevin put his arms straight up as if he shot the ball. And the 2 defenders, for some odd reason, put up their arms the same way as Kevin. So basically when Alf was banking in the easy hoop, you could see 6 arms pointing upwards without any play on the ball itself. It was awkward yet cool.
2. Since we didn't start until 8PM, I was chilling at Alf's place before game time & we played ESPN NHL 2K5 with his friend's PS2. I was down 4-0 after the first period, but when it was all said & done, my Avs beat his Oilers 9-7. Forsberg had 2 goals & an assist & was first star, hehehehe.
1. "I'm Dan, and they call me Thunder" (Thanks Jason, for letting me know. Too bad I missed it!)

MVP
Kevin (put on a one-man show tonight; was hot inside & out; 3 game-winners with a trey for a 7-6 win in game 1)

(8-4) Lester (2), Ernest, Ivan (Tser's friend), Justin, Nathan
(8-5) Alf (1), Clement, Paul Cheung, Ray, Vince
(1-8) Franco (3), Felix, Tser, Victor Teo, Wilfred

In the first 8 games, 6 games went the distance with scores of 7-6. In the remaining 9 games it only happened once.

Longest Streak
6 straight wins by Lester's team from games 7-12

Best Game
Down 6-5 in game 8, Justin nailed a trey to win it 7-6.

Highlight
Ray's ridiculous rejection on Nathan in game 5 which sounded like a gunshot.

Stars
3. Vince: the real MVP of the 3rd CCWB Tournament MIP it is!) / Nathan (it's worth mentioning those 2 acrobatic hoops on Ray & his hustle was great tonight, thanks Wilf
2. Ray: If Ray ever jumps again in a game it will be a violation & it's the other team's possession. Why are you so big Ray?
1. Alf: 5 game-winners in his team's 8 wins. Had CCWB record 4 straight from games 13-16

Injuries
Felix, ankle? Also balls (thanks to Lester's nice grab)

Jason, it was bananas, I couldn't believe that game. I was jumping up & down like I just won the championship & I was hugging him afterwards. Just freakin incredible! I forgot to mention Franco's T-Mac play where he passed to himself off the backboard & scored from point-blank under the hoop. Couldn't remember if that was part of his 7-point game though.

(7-3) Lester (3), Erick, Franco, Nathan, Zechy (only played one complete game due to injury)
(4-5) Ray (2), Andrew Chan, Jack, Jeff Denney (Nathan's friend), Wade, William (Simon's friend)
(3-6) Justin (1), Alf, Jeff Lau, Kent (Simon's friend), Victor

Best Game
In game 8, Franco single-handedly won the game as he scored all 7 points (one basket in the post & 3 SWISHES from downtown) for a 7-5 victory over Ray's team.

Highlight
In the last play of game 8, Lester dribbles over midcourt & zips the ball over his head to Franco for a straight-away 3 to win the game. Initially Ray was guarding Lester & also helped out to block Franco but to no avail as he swished it anyway.

Stars
3. Wade (3 game-winners in 4 wins) & Kobe (4 game-winners in 7 wins). Each had a trey as game-winner & both scored quite a bit as well.
2. Alf: No rust in his game... too bad Luis wasn't here
1. Franco: Daddy showing his outside touch

Injuries
Zechy hit his big toe on the wall while chasing down an outlet pass & was out for the rest of the night after that play. Jeff hit his bro Wade's already-injured finger while boxing him out during shoot-around. Get well soon guys!

Bill, Franco, Jack, Jeff, Justin, Kevin, King, Lester, Luis, Ray, Simon, Wade, Zechy

We didn't have enough people to have 3 complete teams, therefore we just picked up whoever wanted to play for the whole night. Good to see the All-CCWB tournament First-Teamers come to play tonight. Don't think they were ever on the same team at one point though.

Highlight
After nailing a 3 at the top of the circle, Ray stole an intended outlet pass to Kevin & shot a 3 from half-court & made it.

Stars
3. Luis
2. Ray
1. Zechy

Injuries
Wade first hurt his finger, then on a separate play his shoulder was hit by Kevin's elbow after he grabbed the rebound off Wade's missed shot. Kev's albow came straight down on Wade & it didn't seem he could get his arm up again. Hope we'll see you next week.

(6-5) Lester (2), Andrew Chan, Emerson, Justin, Victor Teo, Wilfred
(5-5) Thunder (3), David, Jack, Paul, Zechy
(5-6) Ray (1), Andrew Hum, Franco, Nathan, Simon

Before the night began I was pissing my pants because including the 3 people on the wait list, there were only 13 people in total. After making a few calls & a few late additions & cancelations, we ended up with 16, which was perfect. According to the records, the teams were pretty even, which is always a good thing. Paul & I wanted to end the night after game 15 with every team securing a 5-5 record, but Simon wanted to have a winner. Luckily we left on time (actually we all left 2 minutes early).

Emerson hit a 2 to win the first game 7-6, what a way to make a comeback! Andrew Hum hit back-to-back 2s as game-winners (games 5 & 6), also a 1 in game 2. Thunder hit all the game-winners for games 8-10, 2 of which were 2s. Paul hit back-to-back game-winners for games 11 & 12, with the second one being a 2. 8 of the 16 game-winners were 2s. Let in rain!

Highlight
Zechy steals the ball near half-court at the defensive end & heads towards the opposing basket, looking for a wide-open basket. Ray sees him at around the same area but was on the right side & tries to match his steps. As they both collide in mid-air, Zechy showed us a little hang-time & floated the ball up after the hit. The ball hit back-iron & gently bounced in... and the crowd goes wild!

Ray, you are one foot taller than everybody else. And when you jump, you are 2 feet taller. It's no surprise!
